Applied Management is employee owned and managed. We have established affiliations with a wide range of consulting associates, individual practitioners and university faculty members. Together, these associates represent a variety of specialty disciplines and experience available for specific projects or assignments. Consultants are skilled professionals with designations appropriate to their skills and expertise. Most specialize in particular areas of practice or advanced problem-solving methods and all have extensive consulting and management experience in industry and government.

Alastair Lamont, P.Eng., President

Alastair began consulting in the early seventies, providing advice in facility planning, functional programming and operations analysis. His key focus is reengineering all aspects of hospital operations and realizing the benefits, particularly materials management, support services, surgical suite and health records. In addition, he has planned and coordinated over 10 hospital moves.

Bryan Ferguson, MBA, FCMC, VP

Bryan is responsible for the firm’s integrated health delivery practice. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Management Consultants and has over 25 years' consulting experience in strategic and policy planning. Bryan works with private sector as well as health care clients assisting them with their business strategies in the managed delivery environment. His practice now focuses on reimbursement issues, in both the public and private healthcare environments.

Elaine McKenzie, BSP, MBA, Principal Consultant

Elaine works primarily with pharmaceutical industry clients managing projects to facilitate market access for new products with public and private payers. She works with clients providing analyses of the health policy and reimbursement environment, developing strategic market access plans, developing clinical and economic reviews for new product submissions and developing support tools to assist in stakeholder communications. Elaine led the team analyzing public plans for the Health Canada study “Canadians and their Access to Insurance for Prescription Medicines” for which Applied Management was the primary author.

John Anacleto, Hon BA, Manager - Analytic Services

John has the primary responsibility for all of Applied Management’s key databases on the private market, and has been the lead author in the several Insights articles, including the issue summarizing the current coverage, plan design and longitudinal trends in private plans. John is responsible for the maintenance and enhancement of PRxISM, Applied Management’s insurance coverage forecasting and planning model, and the company’s newest planning tool, which provides a breakdown of coverage at the sales territory and sub-territory.
